What position are you applying for?:
ISB Director
How well do you know this character's lore?:
While Wullf Yularen is the true 'Director of the ISB' (as, similar to Tarkin being called Governor, Yularen preferred the title of Colonel), I will also note down Orson Krennic & Sliro Barsha for transparency's sake.
ISB Colonel Wullf Yularen
Wullf Yularen was a former Republic Fleet Admiral turned ISB Colonel. Initially, he operated within the Open Circle Fleet under Jedi General Anakin Skywalker. Once the Republic transisitioned into the Empire, he effectively resigned his position as Admiral for a position within the Naval Intelligence Agency, working as a liason between the organization and it's rival, the ISB. He also climbed the ranks within the ISB as well, eventually rising up to the prestigious rank of Colonel. However, he continued to help other individuals within the Imperial Navy, most notably assisting then Admiral Thrawn with the Batonn Insurgency. Him and Governor Arihnda Pryce would become powerful allies to the Chiss, as Yularen himself rose to the official rank of ISB Director. With this power, he was able to enact change within the Bureau, while also continuing go to meetings with the Emperor himself. This did not last long however, as eventually he was present on the Death Star when a small farmboy decided to blow it up, ending the Colonel's long tenure of military and bureaucratic service.

Advanced Weapons Research Director Orson Callan Krennic
Orson Callan Krennic was born on the world of Lexrul in 52BBY. He was able to attend the Republic's Future Program on the world of Brenntal, where he eventually befriended the rather shy student known as Galen Erso. Once graduated, Krennic was gifted a position within the Republic Corp of Engineers, where his influence only grew. Galen meanwhile, gained a professorship and therefore began his journey on kyber crystal research. Towards the outbreak of the Clone Wars, Krennic joined the Strategic Advisory Cell, a collusion project with several other Republic departments in order to build a superweapon to combat the CIS. Krennic got promoted to the rank of Commander by the fall of the Republic, where he attended important meetings, and ensured the Death Star project went like clockwork. Work stalled however, when Galen Erso - who by that point was able to be swayed to work on the project under the guise of it being an 'energy program' - fled the project. Galen realized the true power and status of the Death Star, and decided to flee before it could be worked on any more. This caused years of delay for Krennic, years which he could not afford. In 13BBY, Krennic tracked Galen, Lyra, and Jyn Erso to the planet of Lah'mu, where Krennic was able to recapture Galen and in the process kill his wife. With Galen back on schedule, work on the superlaser array continued, although some problems still occured. Most notably, Krennic required the material known as Kalkite to coat the reactor lenses. Ghorman was a planet that Krennic therefore needed pacified in order to get this done. On a tight schedule, ISB Supervisor Lieutenant Dedra Meero pacified the Ghorman populace, and in turn Krennic got his substrate Kalkite. For her troubles, Meero was falsely labeled a 'Rebel spy' by Krennic only a year later, and sent to the prison world of Narkina V for a crime she never comitted. Krennic got his comeuppance however, when he first lost a cargo pilot who associated himself with Galen back on Eadu. Krennic went to Eadu to confront the scientist, only for an alliance starfighter squadron to intercept them, bombing the platform and subsequently killing the scientist. Krennic got the project effectively stolen from him by his long-known rival Grand Moff Tarkin, and so he headed off to Scarif. Director Krennic was subsequently vaporized by Tarkin aboard the Death Star, a striking irony to his story. Orson Krennic is an enigmatic figure within Imperial history. An arrogant, charming, yet highly manipulative individual, he rose his way to the top of the Imperial food chain, often stepping and crushing people along the way, only to die by his own creation.

Zerek Besh Undercover Division Director Sliro Barsha
Sliro Barsha was born into a wealthy family on Corellia. The brother of Jaylen Vrax, he was cut out of the family hier and fortune by his brother. In response, he sold his family out to the Empire, the Imperial state in turn allowing him a position within the ISB. Sometime after the Battle of Hoth, now Director Barsha was ordered to create an underground and Imperial-funded criminal organization to elicit a response from the Rebellion (and in turn uncover their new hidden base). Barsha created Zerek Besh, an organization funded largely by the ISB and it's numerous resources. Zerek Besh was fairly successful, however, when thief Kay Vess stole a prized ship from Barsha, he ordered a death mark on her immediately. After convening with Darth Vader (to which he was displeased at Besh's lack of progress), Director Barsha continued to ensure Zerek Besh operated to the best of their ability. This all came crashing down however when Barsha was confronted by his brother aboard his star destroyer, Vader summoned him via hologram, and told him that 'his usefulness to the Emperor is at an end'. Barsha was unceremonially shot in the chest by his own brother.

Why do you wish to be a Commander?:
While my experience on the server has been extremely little, I believe my prior experience can more than make up for this shortcoming. As I'd like to imagine everyone here shares the same sentiment I have regarding battalions. I am no different. I wish to ensure ISB is in a thriving (or at the VERY least stable state). Ensure reputation is kept at a clean level, ensure that roleplay is being done in a free-flowing manner, to ensure that everyone simply has fun.
What are your plans as Commander?:
Rather than doing the traditional posting, I will break it down into points to be easily digested.
Document Work
More of a minor/every Commander duty. I adore doc work, the precision in it, all that jazz. To ensure the ISB documentation is uniform in formatting, yet clear and concise in uniform policy, handbook guidelines, things like that. It's my jam.
Restructuring
I believe a slight restructuring of the ranks needs to be done. Not only for lore/canonicity purposes, but also to make promotions feel earned. ISB in my eyes should be a battalion where your hard work, roleplay, and dedication is rewarded.
Sub-Division Reworks
As it stands, when someone joins the ISB you either have to join AWR or IA. I believe this needs to be rectified, as someone may want to do simple and normal ISB roleplay. You do not need to force individuals to join a sub-battalion to make your battalion effective. Most of the time it does not work, people like options. Allowing people to join either or, or even both, would prove to be beneficial to the ISB.
Reputation
This is a larger problem with the ISB in other servers, and this server is no different. There is a fine line you have to straddle when you're in the ISB. On one end of the spectrum, you could ISB members who power-trip to insane amounts, thinking they have the authority of Royal Guards, or that they can order around/interrogate practically anyone. On the other end, ISB members might feel intimidated by other individuals, or often are 'talked-over' by other people. Most of the time, it is a power issue, which in turn you handle it most times inside the battalion versus outside. Punish people accordingly, and reward people for hard work. This is a video game after all, do not be mean/demanding to everyone you meet. Likewise, there is a time and place for mingeing versus serious roleplay. It is often discouraged to be overly serious all the time, as that causes individuals to feel annoyed by you, or think you're a hardass, the opposite is true if you constantly minge.
Cooperation
One of the things I focused on when I was Director Krennic back on Icefuse, cooperation. ISB often tends to be isolated due to it's power scaling/overall vibe. I believe cooperation to be one of the primary forms of communication and overall fun within a battalion. Start off by cooperating more with the Navy at the very least. Allow them into the ISB HQ, have them assist with interrogations. Allow ISB to go on Bridge and assist with Navy duties if they are understaffed. Navy can provide opportunities to ISB, and not just them. Shock with military police, Nova with guarding and access to the Imperial Palace, 501st as a literal shock troop force, the possibilities are endless. Interact with your fellow man, facilitate fun roleplay for anyone involved.
How would you improve the roleplay of the Battalion/Group?:
As previously mentioned, more cooperation between battalions would always be nice, alongside more reputation building and comradery. Host in-person Supervisory Board meetings, facilitate bunk/generalized inspections on battalions, allow the creation of Persons of Interests doc reports, plenty of things can be done. ISB and Naval as a whole is so versatile, as you can facilitate so many different kinds of roleplay with everyone. Continue with the uneasy tension between the ISB and Inquisitorious, or ally and assist with them. Keep tabs on Imperial government, or assist with the corruption and kickbacks, the possibilities are through the roof.
How active can you be in this position?:
In-Game
Around 2-3 days per week, although that may vary due to attending college 4 days a week.
Out of Game
Available every day of the week on Discord & the Forums.
Notes:
As previously mentioned, I am very new to this server, please do not be too harsh in criticism regarding that, lmao.
I haven't been this excited in an Imperial server in a long time. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for all the kindness and friendliness from everyone. I greatly appreciate it. :)
If you have any questions, comments, concerns, or simply want to say hi, I am always available via Discord to discuss further!
